F4 – Food, Fashion, For the Home, Follow

by Jennifer

Happy Friday, and welcome to another edition of my F-themed favorites from the week.  Let’s jump right in, shall we?

FOOD
I made a version of these fish tacos last night for dinner and it reminded me how much I love fish tacos.

Perfect Fish Tacos

I made a few tweaks and took a few shortcuts that I will share with you soon – we every every bite last night which means no leftovers to photograph!  In the meantime, this recipe has just about everything I love in a fish taco (except pickled red onions).

FASHION
This jacket/sweatshirt is JUST the thing I have sort of subconsciously been on the lookout for.

James Perse Hooded Fleece Zip Jacket

It’s soooo soft and has a really nice weight to it – somewhere between a sweatshirt and a jacket.  It’s casual enough with the hood and style to wear over workout clothes or in the house when I’m chilly but nice enough with the length, smooth fabric (really nice in person), and shawl-collar-look from the front that I can see myself wearing it with jeans and boots too as a casual outer layer.  P.S. I found mine at Marshalls!

FOR THE HOME
Nate Berkus is killing it (again) at Target right now.  This wing bowl is such a perfect whimsical little accent piece.

Metal Wing Bowl

I was at Target this week and let’s just say it’s probably good for me that they didn’t have it in stock there.  Though now I know it’s offered online…didn’t I have a coupon around here somewhere??

FOLLOW
If you don’t already know Charlotte from Ciburbanity, you should swing by and check her out.

Ciburbanity
She’s really funny, totally puts herself out there, and I find her so charming and likable.  The kind of person you just “get” right away and feel like you’ve known for a long time.  I found her post this week about trying to keep her head above water and meet all her commitments while still caring for her children and being fully present for all the moments with them big and small so relatable.
Hope you all have a happy weekend!

Meet Jen

I'm a design and DIY lover, decorator, modern home-maker, foodie, fashion enthusiast, and jill-of-all-trades when it comes to home improvement. I'm slowly but surely adding classic-contemporary style to my early 90's colonial home one inch at a time and I'm taking you along for the ride.

It's often messy - there are usually project remnants and toys strewn about - but the making of a home isn't always tidy work and I love showing you how you can make and style and organize your way to a home and a life you love!
